How the UK DCTN is Funded

The infrastructure for the Network is currently funded by the Department of Health.

Funding for individual trials is sought from independent charities and government funding bodies; we have received funding for individual studies from:

British Skin Foundation (BSF)

Action Medical Research (AMR)

The BUPA Foundation (BUPA)

NIHR Health Technology Assessment (HTA)

Methodological advice is provided by staff at:

In addition, a number of key industry partners have kindly provided the Network with donations which are pooled together to enable the Network to use these funds to undertake rapid pilot studies needed for the main applications or for extensions to existing grants.  Members wishing to apply for these funds should complete the application form and return it to the co-ordinating centre for consideration.

The Network does not have any direct links to any one particular pharmaceutical company, nor does it undertake commissioned work for any company.  The Network therefore wishes to thank its industry partners for their genuine and unconditional donations to help the Network achieve its vision.
