About the UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network

The UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network (UK DCTN) was formed in February 2002 with the aim of conducting high quality, multi-centre clinical trials that answer questions of importance to clinicians and patients.  It involves a collaborative network of dermatologists, dermatology nurses, health services researchers and patients throughout the UK and Southern Ireland.

Trial suggestions can be submitted by anyone with a desire to conduct research into skin disease.  Suggestions can be put forward throughout the year and, if considered suitable, they will be submitted to the next steering group meeting.  These are held in February, July and October each year.

The Network is particularly pleased to consider trial suggestions relating to less common skin conditions, which have a tradition of being poorly researched.

The UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network is a Registered Charity, number 1115745, managed by Trustees.
