It is free to join the UK DCTN!
We welcome applications from anyone with an interest in research into the treatment of skin diseases. Currently, members are dermatologists, dermatology nurses, health services researchers and patients. There are three different levels of membership depending on how involved you wish to become:
1. Keep up to date
We will send you regular newsletters about our activities and keep you informed of the research activity of the UK DCTN.2. Research feedback
Occasionally we send out surveys to gather opinion on various research ideas. This is vitally important to gauge interest in a study idea and assess it's feasibility using the vast medical and personal experience of UK DCTN members. We try to keep the surveys short and quick to complete for your convenience. Your help would be much appreciated. If a study develops into a full blown RCT then you will have the chance to get involved as an investigator. Join up and have your say in dermatology research at the UK DCTN.
3. Steering Group Member
The Network is led by a Steering Group of 30 or so individuals, who advise on the suitability of trials being developed through the Network. Steering Group members are expected to attend at least two meetings every two years.
If you wish to join the UK DCTN in any capacity, please click here.
The Network is an affiliate member of the British Association of Dermatologists and represents the BAD as an affiliate group for the NHS Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme.
If you would like to know more about submitting research suggestions to us please see the 'Submit a Trial Idea' page.
