The UK DCTN has completed four trials to date (including 'adopted' trial - SWET). Three trials are pilot studies two of which are now current full RCT's (PATCH and STOP GAP)
1. PATCH Pilot Study - Preventing repeated attacks of cellulitis July 2005
Pilot Study to inform the design of a UK multi-centre randomised controlled trial of prophylactic antibiotics for the prevention of recurrent cellulitis of the leg.
2. STOP GAP Pilot - Treatments for Pyoderma Gangrenosum July 2009
Feasibility Study for a multi-centre trial studying treatments for pyoderma gangrenosum patients.
3. TREBL: Study of trimethoprim for wound healing of patients with epidermolysis bullosa (EB) A Feasibility Study December 2010
| Focus groups to discuss the planned main trial. Questionairres and practical exercises to to determine outcome measures for the main RCT. |
| To determine whether the overall design of the planned main trial is acceptable to patients and the most appropriate outcome measures and methods to gather that information. |

4. SWET – Softened Water Eczema Trial .
This study involved children aged six months to 16 years with moderate eczema. It investigated whether water softeners help reduce the severity of eczema in children. Recruitment for this trial is took place in five hard water regions (Nottingham, Isle of Wight, Cambridge, Leicester and London).
