Our current ongoing trials are as follows:
- PATCH 1 & 2 – Two randomised controlled trials to investigate whether prophylactic antibiotics can prevent further episodes of cellulitis (erysipelas) of the leg.
- BLISTER - A randomised controlled trial to compare the safety and effectiveness of doxycycline with prednisolone for initial treatment of bullous pemphigoid.

Pilot studies:
- Pilot STOP GAP - Pilot study to inform a study of topical and oral treatments for pyoderma gangrenosum patients.
Adopted Studies:
- SWET – Softened Water Eczema Trial. This study involves children aged six months to 16 years with moderate eczema. It is investigating whether water softeners help reduce the severity of eczema in children. Recruitment for this trial is taking place in five hard water regions (Nottingham, Isle of Wight, Cambridge, Leicester and London).

- SINS - Surgery versus Imiquimod for Nodular and Superficial basal cell carcinoma. This is a randomised controlled multi-centre phase III trial. Recruitment is now complete with 501 participants. Follow up visits are for three years with a five year recurrence check using GP and hospital notes.
