New clinical trial on psoriasis: APRICOT

The APRICOT trial, led by Prof Catherine Smith (London), has  successfully achieved funding from the NIHR EME programme.  The study will compare the IL-1 receptor antagonist anakinra, with placebo for the treatment of Pustular Psoriasis (specifically palmo-plantar pustulosis).  The trial will be managed from Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust with the Kings College London Clinical Trials Unit.  Recruitment is expected to begin in May 2016.  Please contact the Trial Manager (email: rosemary.wilson@gstt.nhs.uk)  for more information.
