UK DCTN Funding Awards

Annual Themed Research Call - Research development funds of £10,000

We run an open competition each year, on a different skin topic to assist research teams in developing their research idea. This award is principally designed to fund feasibility or pilot work that will eventually lead to a randomised controlled clinical trial, or inform the design of such a study.

Topic for 2024 - Research questions from completed priority setting partnerships (skin disease)

We are inviting research proposals on dermatology topics from skin related priority setting partnerships (PSP).  If you have a research project linked to a skin disease PSP question, then please apply.

We have THREE £10k awards available for UK research teams

  • Skin Surgery - funded by BSDS
  • Paediatric & adolescent dermatology - funded by BSPAD
  • All PSP skin topics - funded by UK DCTN

Your research proposal must stem from a prioritised topic identified by any of the skin PSPs below.

Please note: This award is open to UK applicants only.  Your proposal, if shortlisted, must be presented to the UK DCTN Steering Group on the afternoon of Tuesday 8 October 2024.

Topic for 2025

The research topic for the 2025 award will be dermatology and skin of colour. Deadline for applications will be in July 2025.
